Besides being the city of lights, Paris is also renowned as one of the most romantic cities of the world. Many of its splendid architecture buildings are inspired by that strange, unique, and somewhat beguiling feeling called, love. Since I still had another day to spend in this lovey dovey city what better way than to spend half the day by visiting and exploring at least two romantic locations in Paris.
Notre-Dame Cathedral
Remember the romantic love story of Quasimodo and Esmeralda in the Hunchback of Notre-Dame movie? Well, this movie is inspired by Victor Hugo's novel in which the author himself is inspired by the Notre-Dame cathedral. This magnificent gothic style church attracts many different types of visitors from around the globe: honeymooners, tourists, students, artists, and of-course us (I & my family).
Standing in front of the church gate, gazing its history rich exterior, I notice that the church has two tall towers and plenty of statues in the form of saints and scary animals. Despite their look and the lack of my understanding of the art behind it, I still consider the church as one of the beautifully man-made buildings in Paris.
Musee Louvre
If you like to follow travel icons of instagram, the Louvre is not something to be missed-out. Like Versailles, the Louvre is also a symbol of opulent, extravagant and excessive lifestyle of the past. But, today there's so much more than just its glitz and glamour and that include that famous Monalisa painting. One rule before you start your exploration, take as many pictures as you can just outside the museum. Why? because, from any angle I am confident that you can get that picture perfect photos. Say cheeseeee! *wink*
Cantik sekali eksterior dan interior gereja Notre-Dame ...
